Disclaimer

Advisory only

Validios is a decision-support tool. The reports we produce are intended to help you think through whether to engage a vendor. They are not legal advice, financial advice, accounting advice, tax advice, audit opinions, or formal compliance certifications. Validios is not a licensed legal, financial, accounting or compliance advisor.

Not a regulator

Validios is an independent commercial service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of ASIC, AUSTRAC, ACCC, OAIC, DFAT, OFAC or any other government or regulatory body. References to these bodies in our reports describe the public data sources we query, not any official relationship.

Public information only

Every check we run uses publicly available data sources. We do not access non-public records, credit files, confidential government databases, or paid commercial intelligence subscriptions on your behalf.

Point in time

A Validios report reflects what the public data sources returned at the moment the report was generated. Vendor circumstances — ownership, registrations, security posture, sanctions status — can change at any time. A clean report today is not a guarantee of future conduct or status.

Third-party data accuracy

We depend on the accuracy and uptime of third-party APIs and registries. Errors, delays, omissions or outages in those upstream sources will flow through to our reports. Where a check cannot be completed, we mark it as unavailable rather than failing the vendor.

Sanctions screening

Our sanctions check is a best-effort match against the Australian DFAT Consolidated List and the US Treasury OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list. It is not a substitute for the regulatory screening required of AUSTRAC-reporting entities, licensed financial advisors, designated remittance providers, or any other entity with formal sanctions-screening obligations. If you have a regulatory screening requirement, you must use a tool designed and certified for that purpose.

Not a substitute for due diligence

Validios complements but does not replace your own due diligence. Depending on the engagement you should still consider contractual review, references, financial checks, security questionnaires, certifications (such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2), and professional advice from qualified lawyers, accountants or compliance specialists.

Customer responsibility

The decision to engage, decline or terminate any vendor relationship remains entirely with you. Validios provides information and a recommendation indicator; you choose what to do with it.

No warranty

The Service and the reports are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Errors and corrections

If you believe a Validios report contains a material error — particularly a sanctions or adverse-media match you believe is incorrect — please email hello@validios.com and we will investigate promptly.
